1. Introduction & Mission

Welcome to RootedInPrayer.faith, a sanctuary dedicated to community intercession, spiritual comfort, and praise testimonies. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any personal data you share when submitting prayer requests or praise reports, in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Zero Personal Information & Data Minimisation

🔒 Privacy-First Guarantee: We do NOT collect email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, user accounts, or financial details. You do not need to register to use RootedInPrayer.faith.

Even though we do not collect personal contact information, privacy laws like the GDPR apply because:

  • User-Submitted Prayer Text: Visitors may voluntarily include names or life situations in their prayer request text.
  • Technical Infrastructure: Standard web hosting infrastructure (Vercel) processes temporary IP addresses solely for security, spam prevention (honeypots), and rate limiting.
  • Device Memory (`localStorage`): We save your submitted prayer IDs directly in your own device's browser memory so you can easily check back without logging in.

3. How We Use & Store Your Data

User-submitted prayer requests and praise reports are stored securely in serverless Vercel Postgres databases and displayed publicly on our Prayer Wall and Praise Wall for community intercession.

Note on Anonymity: If you prefer complete anonymity, you do not need to share real names or sensitive personal identifiers in your request content.

4. Third-Party Data Processors

  • Vercel Postgres (Neon): Our secure, serverless database used to store public prayer requests and praise reports.
  • Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights: Cookieless, anonymized technical telemetry used to monitor website accessibility and loading performance without tracking individual users across external sites.

5. Your Legal Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have full rights regarding your data, including the right to request deletion (“right to be forgotten”) of any prayer request or praise report you have submitted. If you wish to have a post modified or removed, please contact us or request assistance via Root-to-Fruit Faith.
